Connecting with it all ~ Talking with Plants, Trees, Mountains, bodies of water, animals, and more
I think something that blows people’s minds a bit or pushes the boundary of “weird” or “crazy” a little bit further is when I share that I most definitely HAVE, and KNOW, that it’s possible to communicate with plants, trees, rocks, mountains, bodies of water (oceans, lakes, rivers), climates, ELEMENTS 🤯, etc.
Is it really possible Lex?
YES it is my friend!
While the level of clarity or style of communication varies depending on who/what you are talking to, the process of connecting and using intuitive telepathy is the same.
For example:
Animals are so vivid in how they communicate to me. I receive visuals, flavors of emotion, words and thoughts, physical sensations, and clear knowing. Their attitude comes in clear and fast!
Whereas plants (houseplants, trees, etc.) to me are very more floaty feeling and big on how they FEEL. They feel like their thoughts are flowy and they are thoughtful and more ethereal in their responses. Their wisdom is clear and they aren’t racing during their communication like some pets do when excited. Emotions and sensations dealing with their sunlight and water requirements are easy to feel from them and they are sometimes less reliant on words when communicating.
When I was in Utah the surrounding mountains that reached up all around me were giving off an energy of might! Not just because they were large and imposing but they were OLD and they had amassed lots of years of wisdom and knowledge from what they had witnessed. When I talked with them, they were curious and very willing to let me sit with them and share their presence. I also felt strong dragon energy in the mountains!
I had the chance to swim within a watery cavern that held very strongly charged water that was full of energy! Water holds vibration and can balance and alter energy frequencies but also can hold memory and this water was very good at it! I left feeling the most relaxed I had felt in a long while after an hour of recharging and vibing with this space. Peep the photo below. Beware, it’s hard to have a stranger take a good quality photo inside a water cave!
In my mind, the idea of everything having the capability to communicate makes sense. We are all energy, made up of combinations of the same stuff. Charged and living within the same universe. Why wouldn’t we be able to use our own frequencies to connect with other ones?
As a shamanic practitioner, I am communicating with ALL. I believe that everything has energy and presence. I am working to understand, see, and value all parts of our universe. I have boundaries and ethics and there are things I will not give attention to but most of my life is understanding and connecting with all.
Why would I limit myself and doubt the mountains when they are the bones of our Earth? The rivers as the veins of our planet and the air as its breath?
I also believe that connection with all is what we are all capable of understanding and I think you are capable of it too.
Are you curious about HOW to talk with the plants, trees, rocks, mountains, bodies of water (oceans, lakes, rivers), climates, and elements too?
I’ll tell ya:)
The ways and tools used for animal communication, talking with your spiritual guides, passed loved ones, are the same ones we use to talk with rivers, bodies of water, elements, etc.
Let’s talk about a few basic parts of communicating with living and passed on beings, all types of consciousness, and energy. These kind of all connect so it’s less of a step by step process and sort of a broken apart look at what you’ll need.
1) Create a state of being that supports awareness and quiet of the mind.
This is the base of all intuitive communication. If your mind is full or too loud, you won’t even be able to hear anything that talks to you.
Being in the NOW and being present, being receptive and open to what could come, and just a lil bit quiet in our minds is what can support a deeper connection and clarity with other living and passed on beings, all types of consciousness, and energy.
I seriously don’t expect you to quiet your mind all the way. It’s not realistic and it’s a waste of time. Our logical mind is there for a reason, let’s not make it the enemy:)
Being present, receptive, and quieter in our minds and open in our awareness supports deeper connection, understanding, and relationship with all life and all forms of consciousness.
It may sound incredibly simple but finding a place that helps you feel calm and connected to nature is a great start. Sit under a tree with your spine aligned with its trunk, walk in water or grass, sit out in the sun or in your garden, stand in the pasture with the horses. Be still, OBSERVE, be open, and tell yourself “I’m open to what communication comes that’s in my best interest.”
Don’t start asking questions right away, it’s not necessary to seek answers or understand it all at that moment. Just BEing is plenty.
See what you feel, are you bored? Notice what you think about. Just observing is a powerful start.
2) This kind of goes with number one but be open to communication, sensation, and what comes.
If we are open to even the slightest possibility of connecting our energy with another’s, or receiving a message, we reach a vibration and hold that vibration where sharing and connecting is possible.
Doubt is the mind killer. (Dune reference anyone?) Doubt will tell you faster than anything that you are crazy, or that it’s not real, or even worse… let logic come in to save you from this new thing and then overtime logic becomes the enemy.
I said it before, logic has a purpose so don’t make it the enemy. Just notice when it takes over and gently remind yourself that it can step aside and that curiosity can step forward and take its place.
Don’t doubt what you receive. I had the hardest time with doubt when I was first starting. I literally told myself one day, “I am not going to doubt anything that happens to me this whole day.” And it was an exercise in breaking the habit of doubt and just playing with curiosity. And I found that I liked when doubt would step back because life became more interesting and FUN.
So trust what you receive and what you feel in your body it might mean. Your gut will tell you a lot. Also know that everything in nature is all connected. What it shares with you is guaranteed to be from some part of that nature.
3) Slow down or push pause on your human brain.
Human/lizard brain says, “I need to keep me safe. I need to keep things familiar. This is how I survive.”
Your human brain can take a break. It can pause and let your awareness take a front seat for a bit.
We live in a time where life is going SO fast. Things are created in record time, some people RACE and rush thinking that it will get them closer to their goals but they end up burnt out, people think living fast is the ONLY way to grow and gain success (lies). People have become super impatient to the natural rhythms of nature.
Our world is uber complex. We have our human stuff like bills, jobs, families, relationships, events, schedules, etc. and when we start to become present and allow in the energies and insights of nature and other species we kind of put a stop to the complicated rushing pace and can receive a fresh perspective. And maybe even fucking RELAX A BIT.
Being human is amazing, connecting with the universe and what’s in it is amazing, one without the other kind of doesn’t make sense for this human experience so play with combining them, find a restorative balance, and you’ll do great.
4) HONOR the wisdom and consciousness of all beings, practice ethics, and say fucking Thank You.
All the energies and beings that you could possibly connect with can really vary in physical/energetic form, depth of wisdom, life perspective, life experience, general awareness, and level of connection.
We have to understand that they aren’t just a vessel of information. They are conscious. They are aware! When we connect with them we are creating a two way relationship. There is reciprocation and a partnership/friendship can be built.
Honor them, understand they didn’t have to talk to you, they aren’t a computer to just push out answers because you asked. They chose to connect with you.
Practice ethics. If they set a boundary, “Please don’t pee in me.” - Mr. Lake, respect that wish. If they ask you not to share something they told you with others. Or they ask for privacy around a certain topic (think: natural disaster) respect that request.
I’ve had plants request for me to not to let the cats chew on them so I put them somewhere they couldn’t be reached.
I once had a horse request that I don’t cut the mass of burrs and knots out of their tail and take the time to comb and oil them out so their tail could stay pretty, so I spent three hours doing so instead of the five minutes of cutting it could've taken.
A tree once made a request that I defend them and ask the many kids around me to not peel its bark off and hit it with sticks (like young kids do to experiment) and I made sure those kids knew to be nice to “Ms. P’s Trees”. (I was teaching in an elementary school at this time)
With exploration and trust in the possibilities, the world -no, the universe becomes even more magical!
Simply letting your pup out to go potty can turn into an understanding of the animal and plant neighbors that share your yard. Awareness of their habits, their joys, their opinions.
Sometimes sitting with your horses in the pasture can become an interesting conversation about herd drama! (yes this has happened and it was damn entertaining)
As a people, we are slowly becoming more aware of our relationship with the magical and unknown and what it COULD be. These few things I have shared above are such a good starting point that all should spend some time practicing.
If you are thinking ‘Holy heck this sounds so great!’ and you are ready to practice:
join my workshop Connecting with it All!
The Connecting with it All workshop will be held on Friday September 6th at 6pm CST.
This workshop is where we will be reviewing the tools above and practicing them together by connecting with plants, trees, rocks, mountains, bodies of water (oceans, lakes, rivers), climates, and elements!
We will spend time connecting to each one and flexing your intuitive muscles and practicing the tools shared above. This is a great place to get support and to experience a community with similar intuitives of all experience levels. I will of course be available for support and advice.
The best part is that YOU get to choose what we connect with! Each person that signs up for a spot in this workshop will get to share with me two things that they would like us all to connect with during the workshop. It could be a picture of some mountains you climbed, your own pet, a place that’s on your bucket list to travel to, a favorite element, a houseplant that really needs some help and advice, or something else (anyone interested in Atlantis?).
There will be 10 spots available to make sure we have time available to move through the two photos shared by each person.
I suggest setting aside an hour of time for the workshop but with the chance of going longer depending on how many photos we have covered within an hour and how we feel. If you can’t stay for the whole workshop or can’t stay past the hour we’ve set aside then come for as long as you can. If possible, let me know in advance so that we can try and connect with your photos in the beginning of the workshop.
This workshop will not be recorded.
If you are interested in diving deeper into intuitive communication with all things, you can also check out my course Animal Communication Integration. In this course we work on expanding our skills to include connection with our animal companions, wild animals, living and passed on pets, animal guides, and all types of consciousness. Curiosity leads the way and there’s so much for us to explore!
Please share or save this blog post with others in the hope that it can benefit them too and benefit the animals and nature they interact with.
Reach out to me with any questions you may have, lean on your animal and nature companions, they are wildly qualified and generous with their knowledge. They truly want the best for all.
