Blue Moon? Full Moon? August 19th’s energy
So I have a bone to pick with this Full Moon in Aquarius that we’ll be seeing tomorrow night, Monday August 19th!
I am not an astrologist, I don’t follow the details of all the movements of the moon but I sure as heck am tuned into the energy of the moon and I. Am. Feeling. It.
I always take astrology forecasts with a grain of salt because we are all so very different and with different natal charts we see even clearer that we are all unique and will have very different ways of feeling the moon’s and the planet's energies.
Let’s chat about the basics of this moon but from my personal perspective.
First, it’s a full moon. Things are coming to completion. Things are coming full circle. Full moons for me generally mean a cycle is ending and things are moving out and the energy is usually BIG.
I always seem to dream abnormally during any large moon activity so you better believe I am preparing for a very interesting dreamscape starting tonight and definitely tomorrow night!
This Full moon is playing within the sign of Aquarius. I experience people with Aquarius signs as our dreamers, head in the clouds (in the best way), think out of the box, wild and creative imagination powerhouses. They are stereotypically seen as alien-like thought generators that don’t like to follow societal norms.
They are an air sign which I can relate to as a Gemini with a lot of air placements in my chart.
This is also a Blue Moon! I am sure the saying “once in a blue moon” is something you’ve heard before but this moon and its energy comes around every two to three years.
The Blue Moon’s energy might be felt within the technology and financial areas of life.
Personally I have been already feeling the combined influence of Mercury Retrograde and this Blue Moon.
~ My washing machine is needing some attention.
~ There were spirits and lingering energy in our vacation house and the power was going out pretty regularly.
~ I unknowingly walked into Lake Superior in the middle of vacation with my phone in my pocket AND STOOD THERE 10 MINUTES BEFORE REALIZING and completely destroyed it. I flung it from my pocket up onto my beach towel then had a nice frustration cry while lying in the sun with my feet in the waves. My man and I drove into town to buy a bag of rice and it rang up as $3.33.
Spirit, tell me it’s a joke.
Then we went and got a huge amount of consolation/feeling-sorry-for-myself gelato and sat in the sun.
The phone separated along the sides and everything, dripping water, and got really hot and I am still waiting on a replacement phone to get sorted out.
~ Forgot I only had a couple gallons of gas in the car I left at home while on vacation so when I came back I had to roll into a gas station to fill it up. The gas station I could get to declined my card twice and I came to find out that their card system is down and they are accepting only cash, which I didn’t have.
~ I went to do some bank stuff and that got all messed up too.
And more… but let's not dwell on my life’s theatrics lol
Bottom line, I am feeling the effects of the moon among other things and all I can say is that I am doing my best to pivot and adjust and try not to lose my mind.
My internal motto has been: Don’t stop three feet from the gold.
Meaning, goofy stuff can happen, shit happens, it’s not fun but it doesn’t mean things are over or completely fucked. So keep going, you’ll reach the gold that’s right around the corner!
I know that this moon is breaking cycles for me, testing me and giving me things to look at. Giving me a chance to determine if I will take the chance to change anything or if I roll over and show my belly.
No thanks.
The washing machine needed a simple upkeep thing. Got that sorted out.
My phone was a refurbished replacement one for the one before it and it ended up lasting for four years. I was unplugged on vacation but I was super completely mega unplugged after my phone took a swim, which ended up being really nice.
My family is supportive and was very helpful on vacation when I didn’t have a phone to take pictures or look at maps to check where to fish or hike. I am super grateful for them and their generosity.
I didn’t have cash on me to get gas when they wouldn’t take cards and so my friend gave me some and it’s just another reminder of the amazing people I have around me.
It’s interesting to see how the moon and the planets can influence your everyday life. I always walk on the side of “there’s no negatives or bad about what XYZ moon or planet is doing” and I think that mindset is helpful in navigating the energy.
Leaning into it, not as "yes I accept this bad stuff happening" but more like "yes this is happening but I know and trust I can fix it". Rely on your tools and support system. Ground and relax a bit.
Hoping your moon experience is going smoothly and if it’s not, I wish you the most seamless and easeful pivoting.
