Ill take this life, cat pee and all
Franklin's been feeling the kookiness of the world lately. And I haven't been helping. I have been plucking through my own stuff and that has set her a little on edge. On edge like she can't go a day or so without having an accident outside her litter box. Yep. Oh no. Ick.
And I feel TERRIBLE. Because our animals are SO tuned into us. They have soul strengthening bonds and unconditional love with us humans that just fills up even the most stubborn of hearts. So when we feel shitty, or when we are going through changes (even if they are good ones!) those changes shake up the reality and things around us and our animal companions feel it. They feel it big. And they also have their own stuff to feel and work through so it can really tilt their world on it's axis.
So Franklin's been feeling the stress, I've been feeling stress from her feeling the stress and peeing, she doesn't feel grounded or safe in her home, and so I had to do some animal communication detective work.
Starting with a conversation. And I'll do my best to repeat it but imagine the convo is happening but then you are also feeling her emotions, getting pictures, and yeah. Here's a simplified version of our convo.
Me: What's going on? You keep having accidents and I thought it was a fluke thing but you keep doing it so what's going on? What are you feeling?
F: I don't know what else to do.
Me: About what?
F: I feel like my space isn't my own.
Me: Why's that?
F: Zoey (my sister's cat) keeps coming in to eat my food and lick my bowl and she won't respect that this is my (our) room! And you kept me out of the room for 3 days a while ago too! And it feels different in here. It smells different. I feel like my (our) space isn't protected. I don't know what else to do.
Me: Omg, why didn't you say anything?
F: You've been running around all over the place and so high energy that I thought you were mad.
Me: Oh wow well I'm not mad. I'm frustrated. Part of me thinks "why can't an animal communicator immediately see what's wrong with her cat and fix it" and I've felt like a failure a bit because I couldn't get a good read on you. We both were out of the room for a few days because I was painting it, like I told you when it was happening, and I didn't want you to get sick from the smell or get it in your fur. I might not have explained it enough. I've been running around high energy because I am excited about the renovations and it took a lot of my interest. It looks and smells different because it's painted and things are moved around. I also blessed it and renewed protection on the room so it will feel different but it is protected, don't worry about that.
F: Oh ok. Are you leaving here?
Me: No no we aren't leaving. I'm not ever leaving you behind or without you. You can't get rid of me. I wanted a fresher and more complementary space for us now that shifts have happened for both of us. It was time for a refresh. Not because we are leaving.
F: What about Zoey? And there's another cat smell too. It stresses me out that they have their smells in here.
Me: Well I saw the way you kicked Zoey out of here the other day so I'm impressed with how strong you've gotten. I kick her out too but she's a food hound so we have to be careful with your food bowl so she can't lick it. I'll wash it for you so it's clean. I will kick her out of here too when I see her. The other cat smell is your real full sister. Remember when she was staying here and we rescued her and got her spayed? You two reconnected and played together but she was still young and scared? She did have a couple accidents when she was groggy and scared and wasn't used to where things were. She won't be coming back here. I thought I cleaned it up enough but I'll clean the carpet again.
F: Oh ok. I remember her.
Me: Can you tune into her? She is also feeling your stress. And I'll ask our guides to help you feel better so we don't have this issue.
F: Yeah I'll talk to her. And I would love some help and energy work please.
Me: Ok, is there anything else I can do so you use your litter box? I'm already scooping it every day. Are you feeling physically ok? No pain or bladder issues?
F: That's good. Can you make the litter deeper? And help me with stress? And no I feel great.
Me: Sure thing. Let's play with the laser pointer tonight, we haven't done that in a while. And here's a box.
F: OMG YES!!
Me: Ok well I have to go get some stuff to clean this room so I'll be back soon.
I forgot something so I turned around and as I walked into my room Franklin was sitting where I had left her 20min ago. In the same spot, eyes open and unblinking. I was like wtf? Until I realized I had stepped into the meeting between her and my guides! So I apologized and stepped back out and did my errands. I came back to a happy cat.
Then cut scene to me using the $70 of enzymatic pet carpet spot treatment and spending 2 days soaking and cleaning and scrubbing the spots in the room.
The night of our convo we played with her laser pointer for a while and I was bent over cackling at... her dedication to catching it. I filled her litter deeper a couple more inches. I moved her little circular bed right next to me and she slept curled up next to me all night! I woke up to NO ACCIDENTS. And then we went two days without accidents and then three days! And we are still doing really good.
Plans for pro carpet cleaners are still on the list but I am happy to have gotten to the ROOT of the issue rather than cleaning up a mess and slapping a band aid on it.
The skill of animal communication has SAVED ME many times. Many many times. And not only has it saved my bacon but it has expanded my world so much! I approach life with much more insight but I also am able to solve the mundane muggle problems of day to day.
I helped Franklin sort out her fee fees. I immediately and clearly know when my rottie comes up to me and stares that she wants xyz even if her stare is never different. I know how they FEEL, and what they THINK, I help my family understand why they do what they do. I'm their translator and buffer, and I am someone they know they can rely on for understanding them.
