Flowers & Trees & Faeries, Oh My!

I watched the energy of last week play out kind of oddly. There was a mixture of patterns I was witnessing through conversations and things unfolding throughout my week.

Things such as people allowing themselves to get in their own way, preventing them from receiving just what they might have needed. I witnessed a lot of people experiencing turbulent energies during the transition into the first week of September. I noticed and felt the energy of people being tired and triggered due to the change happening in their lives around this time. I also noticed very clearly that the people that purposely slowed down and practiced self care were better able to navigate any chaotic energies.

I found myself making grounding meals. I made one that I call Mash cause it looks like a horse’s feed mash when done. Ever seen soaked beet pulp? It’s not far off in looks lol What? That’s not appetizing?

Mash tastes amazing and grounds my ass really well. My friend calls it Hash but that’s not as fun.

If you felt last week was kind of nutso for you, look back at it now to learn what would better support you if you feel that way again.

I noticed the significance of how connecting with nature supported me the most. Last week I co-taught a Meditation & Sound Bath class with my bestest friend (the topic was transformation) as well as hosted the Connecting With It All workshop to end the week. I will share about both the significance of the class and the amazing things that came from the workshop and nature.

You know what was weird about both events though? Only one person showed up for each one.

When this happened for the class I co-teach with my friend, I had mixed feelings about it. I felt that I had done something wrong.

Spirit came in to say, “You goofball, you were almost at capacity for the last class you did and they have been a hit more and more each time. This isn’t a reflection on you. You are helping people immensely, there is always interest in that. Times are weird this week, energy is volatile for some.”

Ok Spirit, noted, thank you.

I also felt bummed because one of my favorite parts of hosting this class is the community and the conversations. It was a highlight from the last class. I reminded myself that there can be community with two or three people too.

Even with one person signed up, I knew that we were going to give the same amount of value to her as we would to a full class. Just like how I would give the same level of care and focus to a fish as I would a horse.

But then I really understood why we had only one person show up… The class was meant for her and her alone. It was almost like Spirit wanted to give her a personalized hour of special treatment and care.

She walked in and within a few minutes of chatting, the dots connected. She wanted to really open up but hadn’t felt ready to in previous classes because of how many people were around her. She had some body aches and pains that were bothering her. Some things in life were a lil messy (the chaos of last week) and she wanted some time to just relax.

It was so perfect and almost as if everyone but her was kept from coming to class just so she could have this time with us and Spirit all to herself. She wanted a transformation and she got it.

A BIG one.

Everyone left feeling centered, relaxed, and ready for sleep!

The next day was my Connecting With It All workshop where we connected with all things nature.

Again, one person showed up.

And it was AMAZING.

Seriously it felt like just two friends catching up and chatting about all things nature, spirits, and energy. It was as if, yet again, Spirit was trying to give us time in a smaller, more personal setting.

We talked about all things nature starting with the wildflowers I planted in my garden. Together we learned that they were so happy with all the water they’ve been getting from the summer storms (I have only watered my garden twice this whole summer) but how they felt neglected compared to the veggies because I hadn’t put down straw or grass clippings for them to catch any excess water. I promised to add grass clippings to their bed tomorrow and to thin them out a bit (another request of theirs). They also confirmed that bees were visiting which made me so giddy! That was the reason I had planted them.

Next we talked to the other workshop goer’s plum tree. This plum tree sits in the center of a medicine wheel and was planted for a passed on friend of hers. It’s a finicky tree and has needed a lot of work over the years. When first connecting, we both felt strong sadness coming from her. She told me she needed “moisturization”. Never heard that one before! She requested it in the form of Neem oil sprayed on her for pest care and then a healthy dose of hose watering. She also asked for energetic support around her, pointing out that the hanging basket of flowers staked near her was not connected to the “network” like the roots of the plants in the earth are. (She did acknowledge that they were full of life, energy, and spirit but she didn’t feel as close to them because they didn’t share root space) She asked for some “fierce of spirit” flowers to be planted by her base for companionship and energetic support. She said “I’m a bit lonely in the middle of this medicine wheel all on my own.” The fierce flowers she accepted to be planted next year were snapdragons (“fierce yet gentle” she said) and grasses (“they are confident”). She also said rocks could do until those flowers were planted. Preferably “rocks or crystals with good energy”.

Next we talked to the man-made pond on the same property as the plum tree. That one was pretty quick. I was hearing and feeling that there was an excess of growth or “life” that needed to be helped into balance. Basically this pond had a lot of bacteria and algae overgrowth. There is a filter and plants all around it but the fish in the pond needed help with reducing it and the pond suggested that it be cleansed with help from the sun. Taking the fish out temporarily and pumping a lot of water out to then allow the sun to help cleanse was recommended. The owner of the pond knew what I was relaying from the fish and water/pond and plans to look into the care of the mini ecosystem.

*I am not a professional pond carer and don’t claim to be a pond whisperer. I assume it’s like an extra giant fish tank. But what do I know? I just shared what the pond said.*

Then we talked to a beautiful maple tree in my backyard that’s had a time of it lately.

Warning: the next photos may make you sad, they make me sad.

This poor maple tree is the tallest and oldest one in my backyard and in the last three storms it’s lost huge branches. This last storm took about a fourth of the tree down. The tree is all green leaves and happy branches so the loss is so odd. The only part that looks iffy is part of the trunk. When first connecting with the maple tree we felt a lot of sadness. There was some exhaustion from helping clear recycle energy off the property. As the oldest tree and most experienced it was trying to give the newly planted trees (planted within the last 5 years, apple trees included) the best chance to grow as younglings.

Plants often help balance the energy of your land and home. They will take on and absorb low vibrations and stress. If you have a lot of plants dying in your house or in one room and you’ve tried everything, consider yourself to have somewhat of a green thumb, and they are even considered beginner plants… try seeing if they need energetic support or if your home needs a balance/clearing. They could also be picky. It took multiple meetings with my one palm tree to make the right changes to make her happy.

Anyway, then I was asked if I have ever talked to the daeva’s and faeries of my yard. The little light beings that care for the bugs, critters, plants, and the balance of nature? I actually hadn’t before. I have talked to the plants but hadn’t looked into the faeries that care for them and live in the nature around me. It was pointed out to me that this was a bit odd considering all the things I connect with already and I have to agree! Why hadn’t I connected with them before? I think I got in my own way (remember that as a pattern I noticed last week?). I might have made judgements or had allowed my mind to make opinions before even learning. I don’t like to make a habit of that so I decided to try the next day.

The two of us in the workshop continued to talk to some more plants and nature. We tuned into more places and just had such an interesting conversation. I had originally set aside an hour for the workshop but we found ourselves easily adding on another half hour! Time flew by.

Fast forward to the next morning. I put grass clippings around my wildflowers, and stood by my garden to try and connect with the faeries of my yard. I’ll begin by saying, I don’t know where to begin to explain their energy, it’s so fucking cute but fierce and fast and light and funny. That probably didn’t make sense but maybe you felt it? They were SO KIND and were so happy I was reaching out. I asked them for help in picking out which delicata squash were ready in my garden and asked them if they could help with pest control because my watermelons are like gold and I wanted them safe. I left them a flower for my gratitude after speaking with them and walked away with a new idea of nature.

Connecting with faeries is very new to me but I am happy to answer questions if you have them. It’ll be an ever evolving thing I suppose.

If you’d like to give me some questions to ask them about faeries and nature/plant care in general, I can for sure ask them. Send them in!

After some time having my mind blown, I went over to the maple tree to say hi and I asked to connect with the daeva, the spirit, of the tree. Fuck that was cool you guys. The PEACE of this tree despite having been amputated by the last few storms was incredible. I asked if it needed to come down (oh please lordie no I begged in my mind) or be trimmed to avoid hitting the fence if it fell and it said “No, if you trim my tallest branches I won’t be able to hold leaves with the tree in the yard over. They are helping, giving me comfort and supporting me.”

You guys, they were HOLDING HANDS. And not only that, they were holding roots too! I said thank you to the tree next door and the love felt between these two trees was so pure. I asked if it needed any help with its trunk and it requested Neem oil again. (Is this like the holy grail of plant wellness?)

I asked what else I could do to support the tree and it said, “I wouldn’t mind your help with clearing the land of heavy energy or stress. If I am to heal, I ask for you to take on some of the burden I have taken on.”

Done baby, go heal! Lex has got this.

I decided to offer to put up a “permanent” style energy filter. Picture in your mind’s eye a huge beautiful pool filter but for energy. I asked to place that in an area near the tree and set the intention that it will continuously run and filter out any heavier energies and pull them right up to Spirit to be released and transmuted back into light. Which I thought was pretty neat because plants “eat” light. Full circle baby!

This was accepted with gratitude and I vowed to check on it periodically to make sure all was well and it was helping. If we need something different eventually then we can change it up.

Whew, what a morning!

The week had started one way and ended another. Absolutely solidifying the idea that Spirit orchestrates amazing aligned moments, the right people show up at the right times, and that it’s so important to give your all no matter how big the “job”. Also highlighting the importance of nature and getting yourself out to touch grass and feel sunshine.

The best way to make order out of chaos is to slow down. The best way to slow down is spend time in nature. It’s not complicated:)

In the future I plan to offer more workshops and I will welcome one person or 10+. These workshops can be about anything really. I am open to suggestions and will go with what resonates at the moment.

Feel free to share this post with a friend!
